Blue Earth Wastewater Treatment Facility
Location
Blue Earth, MN The City of Blue Earth required a remodel of their existing wastewater treatment facilities in addition to expanding their capacity. The largest portion of the project was to install 2 new cast-in-place concrete sludge storage tanks with a total capacity of 0.75 MG along with 3 submersible sludge mixers and 1 sludge transfer pump with associated piping. These storage tanks are covered with a concrete pad and reach depths of 25' below grade. Other portions of the project included installation of a new 1,500 gallon/minute sludge mixing pump, heat exchanger, sludge grinder, and stainless steel lines in the primary digester sludge box. |
