The Joseph Company’s first major project was the First National Bank of Austin. This expansive structure included a remote drive-up bank across the street from the main bank and several “plaza” type services that complimented the bank’s mission such as an insurance office and travel agency. This building, composed of structural steel frame and masonry finish, was established as the focal point of downtown Austin.
