This project included 15,000 SF of new addition and substantial remodel of the existing worship space. Two additions to the original building included a gathering / overflow seating space with a custom granite “waterfall” Baptismal fountain and library area, a dining hall with kitchen, meeting space, and accessible restrooms. Joseph shored the existing laminated arch structure and salvaged cut stone window trims for re-use in the new exterior walls. People have commented that the additions “look like they have always been there.”
Joseph was recognized with the Merit Shop Award of Excellence from the Associated Builders and Contractors of America for this project.
You would have been hard-pressed to find anyone on our committee, members of the congregation, citizens of Fairmont, or persons who have visited the facility who don’t marvel at the finished product.
